Feast Day of San Lorenzon Ruiz

San Lorenzo Ruiz is the first Filipino saint canonized by Saint JohnPaul II on October 18, 1987.According to Latin missionary accounts, San Lorenzo Ruiz declared these words upon his death: “I am a Catholic and happy to die forGod. If I have a thousand lives to offer, I will offer them to God."
