Faith Formation (Grades 1 – 12) – Formación de Fe (Grados 1 a 12)

The Faith Formation Program at St. Pius X is for children who do not attend Catholic school for their religious instruction as Christians. Students will receive education in the Catholic faith and also prepare to study and receive the sacraments of First Confession, First Communion, and Confirmation. Classes are held from September through May. Parents must pre-register children for classes.

Faith Formation Offerings

  1. Faith formation grades 1-5
  2. Sacramental preparation for the first reconciliation and first Eucharist
  3. Rite of Christian Initiation for Children is for children who have not been baptized by age 7. Children enrolled in this program complete the same two-year process of formation.
  4. SEEK! Middle School youth Group grades 6-8
  5. LAUNCH! High School Youth Group grades 9-12
  6. Confirmation for High School students age 16-18. The Archdiocese of Seattle requires two full years of youth group. In the second year in addition to Wednesday night youth group, the confirmandi must attend separate classes and a retreat. Youth must be at least 16 years old prior to May 1st.

Fee Schedule~ No child will be turned away due to an inability to pay. If you have concerns please contact Katie, Margarita or Ericka.

Grades 1-5: 1-2 Children- $35 each child per year, 3 or more children $ 100 per year

Grades 6-12: 1-2 teens- $40 per teen per year, 3 or more teens $130

Confirmation: $110 due in December for the retreat

Registrations will only be accepted in the following ways

  1. Bring to St. Pius X Parish office Monday through Friday between 10:00am and 3pm
  2. During registration weekend after all the masses (mid September)
  3. Sacramental preparation (First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, Confirmation and RCIA for children) registration for the 2017-2018 school year must be received by September 14, 2017

Registrations will only be accepted with payment or scholarship and in the case of sacramental preparation, a baptism certificate.

Youth must attend Faith Formation classes or youth group for one year before they may receive their First Reconciliation, First Communion or Confirmation. Youth must attend 80% of classes/youth group to fulfill this requirement. Those being confirmed may only miss one confirmation class and must attend the retreat.
